Prag

Oh my goodness, where to begin?  Prague was amazing!  So many gorgeous old buildings and awesome things to take pictures of.  And also the coolest group of people to travel with.  The weather was cold and cloudy for most of the time that we were there, but that didn't put a damper on the fun we had.
We got in around 9:00-ish pm, but with money exchange and travel time (subway, bus, and tram), we probably didn't get to the hostel until after 10.  So we checked in and put our stuff in our room in the nicest hostel ever, then went to go get some food.  The first night, we just sat downstairs in the bar/restaurant area and chilled for a little while.  We also met some girls from Massachusetts who were studying in Ireland, but on some sort of trip to Prague.  We ran into them a lot around Prague.
The next day, we explored Prague on foot, visiting all the touristy spots.  We saw the Charles Bridge, the Palace, the John Lennon Wall, the Old Town Square and so many other places.  We didn't go inside any museums or anything, because none were free and we were on a budget.  But we did go somewhere for coffee, and I had the most delicious hot chocolate ever!  We went to eat authentic Czech food that night.  I had goulash, and it was delicious!  Then we went back to the hostel for a little bit before going out to a 5-story dance club.  It wasn't my idea of fun, but it was definitely an experience.
The next day, we did basically the same thing.  We walked around Prague to see what cool things there were to see.  There was a half-marathon being run that day, and we walked right past it.  Also on this day, we hiked up a giant hill to see the Petrin Tower.  It looks like a mini-Eiffel Tower.  The climb was quite a climb.  Worse than the Drachenfels climb because it was much steeper, but not as long.  At the top of the hill, we saw the tower but didn't go up (because nothing in Prague is free).  However, the views from the hill were amazing!  We explored a little bit at the top and found a playground.  So we played on that for a little while and had a food break before heading down the hill a little bit.  That is where we found the monastery restaurant where we ate on the last day.  We had Chinese food for dinner on this night, but it was not nearly as good as the Czech food on the night before.  Then we mostly just stayed in and played card games until around 1:00 am, when we went downstairs to the bar/restaurant area to watch Final Four basketball.  Some of the group stayed up to watch the Kansas-Ohio State game (since one of our group members goes to Kansas and another goes to Ohio State), but I went to bed earlier than they did.
On our last day, after we checked out, we pretty much just walked around Prague some more in the opposite direction as we had gone earlier, to see some other things.  But really we ended up going back in the direction we'd gone all the other days.  We saw the Astronomical Clock, which is near the Old Town Square.  For lunch, we went to the monastery restaurant for one more delicious Czech meal.  Then we had more coffee and really delicious dessert at a coffee shop down the hill a little ways.  After coffee and dessert, we went to a little island park in the middle of the river and just chilled out in the sun for a little while.  Before heading to the airport to go back to Bonn, we headed back to the hostel to grab our bags.  Then we headed to the airport for our flight back.
The hostel was right along the river, so we walked past it every day.  On one of the days (I think full day number 2), there was a swan swimming in the river, and the boys were convinced that it was animatronic.  It wasn't, of course, but they just couldn't figure that out.  Not much else to say, and too many pictures to post (I took more than 200 photos over the weekend alone), so I will just post a few and you guys can go look at my facebook for more.
